On the 27th of August 2026, the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA) was received by a distinguished delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand, led by His Excellency Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting provided a platform to exchange perspectives on strengthening trade relations and deepening economic ties between Thailand and Africa. The CSEA team shared insights from its ongoing research on Africa's evolving economic landscape, trade opportunities, and the potential for stronger economic partnerships, reaffirming CSEA's role as a trusted voice in evidence-based policy dialogue.
This visit forms part of CSEA's continued efforts to build strategic partnerships that advance Africa's economic development on the global stage.
