CSEA Supports Training of Trainers for Mastercard Foundation POA in Mozambique

The Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA) supported the Mastercard Foundation Programme Outcomes Assessment (POA) in Mozambique by facilitating a Training of Trainers (ToT), for the World Food Programme (WFP) team.

Held from 10 to 14 August 2026, the training was  part of CSEA’s role as an Impact Partner organisation under the PCK-led Impact Partner Organisation. The session,  facilitated by Dr. Martin Ufi, was focused on preparing the WFP team to cascade training to field enumerators responsible for data collection. Participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to administer both quantitative and qualitative POA tools effectively.

Beyond technical instruction, the session also covered  effective respondent engagement and field data collection management. The training strengthened the WFP team’s capacity to coordinate field activities and support the effective implementation of the assessment in Mozambique, contributing to the quality and consistency of data collection across the field.
