The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in collaboration with UNICEF, convened the Data Interpretation and Report Compilation Workshop for the Nigeria Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) 2025-2026 from 1st to 4th June 2026 at the Abuja Continental Hotel. The Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA) was represented by Dr. Chidozie Uzoma-Nwosu. The workshop provided a critical platform for stakeholders to engage with the data collected during the survey implementation phase.
The primary objective of the workshop was to facilitate rigorous analysis of the survey findings and support the systematic compilation of the MICS 2025-2026. By bringing together technical experts and stakeholders, the event aimed to ensure that the data interpretation was accurate, comprehensive and aligned with the survey’s objectives, thereby contributing to the development of a robust and credible final report.
This initiative underscores the ongoing commitment of the NBS and UNICEF to strengthening Nigeria’s national data systems and promoting evidence-based policymaking. The outcomes generated from the workshop are expected to inform future development interventions and public health strategies, ensuring that policy decisions are guided by reliable and high-quality data.
