The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) organized a capacity Building workshop on Tobacco control in Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, December 7-9, 2016. The workshop aimed at increasing, as well as sharing knowledge and the methodology of research on economics of tobacco control in Africa in order to promote tobacco control evidence policy making.Specifically, it aimed to enhance African researchers skills on the scourge of tobacco use and also emphasise the need to develop further research on economics of tobacco control. CSEA presented a paper on Tobacco Policy in Nigeria which highlighted the prevalence of smokingand also examined Nigerias efforts towards implementing tobacco control policies.Dr. Chukwuka Onyekwena, and Precious Akanonu joined participants drawn from across Africa for the workshop.
