Research Associate
Oby is a Research Associate at the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA). Her research interests span gender equality, poverty, human capital development, and international trade, with a strong emphasis on social policy, applying data and rigorous evaluation methods to inform policies that improve outcomes for individuals in vulnerable communities.
Oby earned a master’s degree in economics from Kansas State University, where she began doctoral studies in Economics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, and Communications from the University of Wisconsin–Superior.
