CSEA Participates In TTI Business Models Workshop For Think Tank Sustainability

CSEA participated in the Business Models workshop for Think Tank sustainability organized by the IDRC’s Think Tank Initiative (TTI) and Regional Policy Research for Development (REPOA) on October 19-21, 2016 in Dar-Es-Salam Tanzania. The workshop training aimed to provide support to strengthen the capacity of selected Sub-Saharan African TTI-supported institutions in successfully developing an effective, suitable business model that will help them move towards long-term financial sustainability. The workshop included several peer-learning and group sessions which provided a platform for think tanks to discuss their sustainability challenges and highlight possible approaches and remedial action plan.

Participating Think Tanks were also able to identify an action plan informed by technical input and work towards implementing the action plan over an agreed timeline involving relevant actors, build in moments of reflection to help evaluate progress and make adjustments as needed. Participants also shared experiences and insights with other participating institutions to facilitate and support the efforts of the entire group. CSEA’s Executive Director, Dr. Chukwuka Onyekwena, Communications Officer, Drusilla David and Administrative Officer, Peace Anumudu joined other participants for the training.
