Non-resident fellow
Adamu Jibir is a Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA), Abuja, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is also a graduate of the University of Bakht Alruda, Sudan, where he obtained M.Sc. in Economics. He holds B.Sc. Degree in Economics from Gombe State University, Gombe, Nigeria.
Dr. Jibir is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics of the Gombe State University, Nigeria – where he teaches at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. Dr. Jibir has been conducting research for the past ten years in different fields of economics such as household studies, economics of SMEs, innovation economics, public finance and human capital development. He is the Managing Editor of the CEDS Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research, Editorial Secretary to the Journal of Economics and Development Policy and editorial member of some other journals.
He is the Coordinator of Innovation and Research, Center for Entrepreneurship Development Studies, Gombe State University and Coordinator of training at the Center for Econometrics, Department of Economics, Gombe State University, Nigeria.
He has published more than 30 articles in reputable journals including – Journal of Knowledge Economy, Kasetsart Journal of Social Sciences, Central Bank of Nigeria Journal of Applied Statistics, Asian Economic and Financial Review, Review of Market Integration, SN Business and Economics, Econometric Research in Finance and The Lahore Journal of Economics among others. He has participated in more than 27 academic conferences and workshops in Nigeria, Sudan, Sri Lanka, India, Japan, Turkey, Spain and China.
He is a member of several professional bodies including Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigerian Economic Society, Zakat and Waqf Foundation, among others.
