Gbadebo Odularu is currently affiliated with Bay Atlantic University (BAU), Washington DC, USA. A sustainable development economist who has been visiting scholars to: the Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE), University of Oxford, United Kingdom (UK); Centre for Regional Economic Studies (CRES), Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), South Korea; Economic Research and Statistical Division (ERSD), World Trade Organization, Geneva, Switzerland; United Nations Institute for Economic Development Planning (UNIDEP), Dakar, Senegal; and the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment (SSEE), University of Oxford, UK.
Based on his teaching and research experience at universities, non-profits organizations, and private foundations in Europe, United States, Asia (China and South Korea), and Africa, Gbadebo teaches and mentors graduate students at Bay Atlantic University (BAU). As a development specialist at the Washington DC based Socio Economic Research and Applications Projects
(SERAP), Gbadebo collaborates with governments and strategic partners to offer workable policy options on the establishment of digital academies as well as the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
He obtained his Ph. D from the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom. His current research interests revolve around trade facilitation, digitization, inclusive financing, value chain analysis, business accelerator, agri-food economics, nutrition security interventions, maternal, newborn, & child (MNC) wellbeing, aging, population studies, competition policy, climate smart agriculture (CSA), and innovation policies with particular focus on economically disadvantaged communities in Africa, Americas, Asia and the Middle East. Based on this background, Gbadebo will be bringing his inter-sectoral and policy analysis experience to bare in this research with the Centre for the Study of Economics of Africa.
