
George Abuchi Agwu is a Research Fellow at CSEA. He holds a PhD (Economics) from the University of Pau, France. Prior to the PhD, he obtained two Masters of Science (MSC) degrees in economics: MSC Petroleum, Energy Economics and Finance (PEEF) from the University of Aberdeen Scotland and MSC Development Economics from the University of Sussex England, both in United Kingdom. George rose to Lecturer II in the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Nigeria where he taught petroleum economics, projects evaluation and econometrics prior to joining CSEA. He also served as Associate tutor of economics and statistics in the University of Sussex. In the University of Pau, he served as Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant in applied development economics.
His research interests focus on applied microeconomics with focus on household and firm economics. His past publications border on civil conflicts, food security, remittances, firm innovation and schooling accumulation.
