Advancing Tobacco Control in Africa

Development Gateway (DG) has partnered with CSEA for the second phase of the Tobacco Control Data Initiative (TCDI). TCDI 2.0 aims to advance the work achieved in TCDI 1.0, which focused on improving tobacco control policies by providing governments, civil society, and academia of six African countries with country-specific data. To strengthen this partnership, Development Gateway organised a kick-off workshop in Lagos Nigeria.

The workshop enabled both teams to streamline their understanding and expectations of the program as well as provide some capacity building on the processes used in the first phase of the program, which will also be used on TCDI 2.0.
