Can we change the narrative on corruption in public procurement in Nigeria?

Development Gateway (DG) has partnered with CSEA for the second phase of the Tobacco Control Data Initiative (TCDI). TCDI 2.0 aims to advance the work achieved in TCDI 1.0, which focused on improving tobacco control policies by providing governments, civil society, and academia of six African countries with country-specific data. To strengthen this partnership, Development Gateway organised a kick-off workshop in Lagos Nigeria.

The workshop enabled both teams to streamline their understanding and expectations of the program as well as provide some capacity building on the processes used in the first phase of the program, which will also be used on TCDI 2.0.

In a sensitization workshop event titled "Understanding New Nigerian Labour Force Statistics," experts and other stakeholders gathered in Abuja on Monday, March 18, 2024, to deliberate on the importance and impact of Labour force statistics data for policy formulation and resource allocation, amongst others. The event was hosted by the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA) in collaboration with the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
