EdTech Landscape in Africa: The progress, problem and pathway to inclusive education

CSEA and its partners – Southern Voice and Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE) – are organizing a webinar on “Edtech Landscape in Africa: The Progress, Problem and Pathway to Inclusive Education” to understand where EdTech is in Africa, the challenges bedeviling its development and how research can help in the developing world. This webinar will bring together stakeholders to dialogue on inclusive ways to adopt technology in classrooms to address learning crisis in Africa.

In the webinar, we will also be disseminating the findings of our research on EdTech’s landscape in Africa. The study examined the adoption of EdTech in primary and junior secondary education in Sub- Saharan Africa (SSA), particularly in 10 selected countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon, Benin, Malawi, and Senegal.

Sensitization Workshop on 'Understanding New Nigerian Labour Force Statistics'

The Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA), in collaboration with the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), is organising a sensitization workshop titled “Understanding New Nigerian Labour Force Statistics".

The workshop aims to acquaint stakeholders, including government officials, the private sector, civil society organizations, and the public with the most recent Nigerian Labour Force Statistics and its implications for policy and programme development. 

The event will also equip participants with the right tools and skills to interpret, visualise and analyse labour force data for data-driven and evidence-based decision-making.

Invitation to the online Launch of the GRAIN network

The Gender and Responsible Artificial Intelligence Network (GRAIN) consortium, together with CSEA(Nigeria), IPAR (Senegal) and SUNBIRD IA (Uganda) is pleased to invite you to the online launch of the GRAIN Network on November 20 and 21, 2023 at 10am GMT on the Zoom platform.
