2020 Africa Think Tank Summit

The 2020 Africa Think Tank Summit was organized by the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD), in partnership with the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), and the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) on 26 -28 February in Cape Town, South Africa.
The summit provided a platform for African think tanks and stakeholders – thinkers, policymakers and government representatives from all over the continent to discuss innovative ideas to strengthen the work of African think tanks.
Under the theme “Repositioning Africa’s Think Tanks to realize the power and potential of partnerships in domestic policy and world politics,” the event centered on issues around security, economic development, the rise of foreign investment and the future of African youth.
Dr. Chukwuka Onyekwena was on the panel session that discussed “The Role of Foreign Investment in Africa & its Impact on Development and National and Regional Sovereignty” while Dr. Chinny Ogunro moderated the session on “Balancing on the Head of a Pin: Managing the Employment and the Youth Dividends”.
